Leadership
To provide a solid academic program,
rooted in Biblical truth,
with an emphasis on developing Christian leadership among students
“Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord, not for men.” Colossians 3:23
Leadership is one of the three parts of our mission at NJUCA. We define Christian leadership as a willingness to yield to God’s purpose and plan in life and to influence others for the kingdom of God. At NJUCA your child will learn and gain vital leadership skills and will be encouraged to excel in leadership. We believe that the teenagers of today are the leaders of tomorrow. Therefore, it is crucial to equip our students with excellent leadership skills so that they will be able to take on the ever-changing world.
Our leadership Program:
Leadership Class: Students meet once a week to learn skills to become a stronger and more confident leader. The skills that will be covered in the four year program include: team building, people skills, public speaking, developing a vision statement, setting personal goals, learning to impact others, developing your strengths, strategic planning, discovering your purpose in life, strengthening communication skills and much more.
SGA (Student Government Association) - The Student Government Association helps to run all of the schools non-ministry activities. Student Government plans events such as the parent appreciation dinner, cookie drives, weekly breakfast coffeehouse and the school store during the lunch period.
S.W.A.T. Team (Spiritual Worship And Teaching Team) – The S.W.A.T Team is a completely student run organization that leads the school in all of the spiritual activities.
Passion Groups – Students are given the opportunity to lead and take ownership of their own passions and gifts. Students develop programs, committees, or ministries utilizing and developing the leadership skills taught during leadership class while focusing on the students’ specific passions.
